Download Forms
The statutory forms used in development applications, and where each one is used.
Applications are made online — you do not need to fill in a paper form to apply. The forms below are published so you can see what is asked for before you start, and because some of them have to be signed on paper.
Form P.P.A 1 — Application for development permission
The application itself. Everything on it is collected by the online form when you lodge an application, section by section. There is nothing to download and return.
Form P.P.A 2 — Notification of approval
Issued by the county, not by you. It is the statutory notification of the decision on your application and is generated automatically once the Chief Officer has approved. It is available from your dashboard as soon as it is issued.
Building Indemnity Form
Signed by the owner and by the professionals on the project. It is completed within the application, and each party signs it with a code sent to them.
What to prepare instead
Rather than forms, prepare your documents:
- Title deed or lease document, and a current search
- Survey plan
- Architectural and structural drawings
- Practising licences for your architect and structural engineer
- An up-to-date rates payment receipt
Drawings may be PDF or DWG. Everything else should be PDF, or a photograph clear enough to read.
If a form you have been asked for is not listed here, contact the department
before paying anyone for it.
